General safety instructions on operating the unit

CAUTION!
DANGER! INTENDED USE
Use the unit only for its intended use (see paragraph 3.1 Intended use).
Any non-compliance of this regulation can result in serious injury of the
patients or operators of the unit as well as in damage / faults to the unit.
Heraeus Kulzer is not liable for consequential damages due to the non-
observance of the aforementioned provision!
CAUTION!
DANGER! CONTRAINDICATIONS
The unit is not to be used on patients, who have cardiac pacemakers or other
electronic implanted devices. This regulation also applies to the operator.
CAUTION!
DANGER! CONTRAINDICATIONS
The unit must not be used from children, blind or deaf persons and also not
by / on persons with possible epileptic seizures. Pre-named persons may not
recognize risks of use and operation. Due to safety reasons for the operator
and the patients with potential risk of epileptic seizures, use and operation
of the device is prohibited.
CAUTION!
DANGER! CONTRAINDICATIONS
The owner / user must ensure that:
– the unit is not used on patients with a positive anamnesis after light testing,
for example with solar urticaria and / or porphyria as well as on patients who
have been treated with photosensitising medication.
– Stringent safety precautions are taken with patients that have undergone
cataract surgery and are therefore especially sensitive to light (for example,
eye protectors with a blue-light fi lter).
– Patients whose anamnesis includes retinal diseases must have treatment with
Translux Power Blue authorised by their ophthalmologist.
– a specialist doctor is consulted in all potential risk cases.
CAUTION!
Never point the light beam directly on the polymerisation material!
Eyes, gums, soft tissue and other body parts must not be exposed to the light
beam (if necessary, these parts must be provided with suitable protection).
In the roof of the mouth, the light eff ect must be limited to the area being
clinically treated.
