Display of empty battery

The battery for the Translux Power Blue is empty if exposure does not take place when the
button is pressed and, at the same time, an acoustic signal (2 beeps). is heard.
The hand piece battery indicates "empty status" (see paragraph 6.3.1 New battery: initial
charging and paragraph 10.2 Instructions to clean charging contacts).
6.3.4

Display of defective battery

When the yellow intensity LED fl ashes on the charger, this indicates that the battery
is malfunctioning (see paragraph 4.2 Operating and display elements).
NOTE!
This malfunction interrupts charger operation.
The following must be carried out to restart charger operation:
1 Remove the hand piece from the charger.
2 Disconnect the power supply to the charger for a few seconds (pull the mains
power cable out of the socket). All LEDs go off .
3 Connect the charger once more to the mains: the GREEN LED (3) lights up.
6.3.5

Changing the battery

For battery replacement, please contact your dealer or Heraeus Kulzer service personnel.
It involves a medical device! Replacement involves an intervention in the unit and is for this
reason prohibited for customers.
6.4

Connecting accessories

When using the Translux Power Blue, the following accessories are to be connected:
• Insert the fi bre optic (1) manually into the hand piece (2) by pressing lightly as far as the
stop, rotating if necessary.
• Mount the protective guard (3) on the top end of the fi bre optic (1) (see following fi gure).
