The following must be carried out for initial operation of the unit:
• Place the charger (1) on a horizontal surface.
• Insert the mains power cable (see paragraph 4.1 Scope of delivery) into socket (2) on rear
side of the loading tray and connect to socket. The GREEN LED (3) lights up.
DISCONNECTION FROM MAINS!
Check that the mains connection, the installation and the mains power cable
are in perfect working order on a regular basis. If in doubt, disconnect the
unit from the mains supply and have it repaired by qualifi ed personnel.
If the mains power cable is damaged, replace it with an original spare part
from Heraeus Kulzer (see paragraph 13 Service).
6.2

Power supply

The Translux Power Blue is supplied with power from a rechargeable lithium ion battery,
which is fi tted in the hand piece.
The Translux Power Blue is equipped with two microprocessors which continuously check
the optimum discharging and charging parameters of the battery and maintain them at
optimal values. After every treatment, the hand piece should therefore be inserted in the
charger for storage irrespective of the battery level.
