5. Practical exercises, including:
– Where possible, exercises for operating powered lift trucks should take place in
a separate area that is physically separated from other workplaces and
employees.
– The practical exercises must be carried out under the supervision of an
instructor;
– The practical exercises must include or simulate the actual undertaking of all
operational tasks, including transport, maneuvering, traveling, stopping,
starting, and all other activities under the conditions the operator will face during
the actual operation of the lift truck.
