THE RATED CARRYING CAPACITY OF THE FORKLIFT AND AUXILIARY
DEVICE MUST NOT BE EXCEEDED.
– The hooks must not be raised more than 14.76 ft / 4.5 m above floor/ground height.
– While driving, the bottom part of the load must not be raised more than 11.8 inch /
300 mm from the floor/ground or the lift truck (whichever is the lower value). The
mast must be either fairly vertical or tilted back.
– The forklift must only be operated on fairly firm, smooth, flat, and prepared
surfaces.
– It is only permissible to transport a single load.

If the forklift is not operated
properly, it could tip over,
which could result in a
personal injury. If the forklift
is just about to tip over:
– Remain in the forklift (do not jump
out);
– Hold the steering wheel firmly;
– Brace your feet;
– Lean away from the area of
impact.

Instructions for the use of the seat belt

If a seat belt is installed, it must be secured before the forklift is started. The belts
must be secured in the following way:
– Pull the belt out from the retractor without any erratic movements.
– Place the belt close to the pelvis and insert the tongue in the buckle. Make sure that
the belt is not twisted.
The operator must sit back as far as possible. This ensures that his back is supported
and the safety belt offers the best protection.
– If the forklift is brought to a stop and the engine is cut off, release the automatic
safety belt by pressing the red button on the buckle. Feed the tongue back to the
retractor.
A belt that is retracted too rapidly can activate the automatic locking device because
of the impact of the tongue on the housing. If the automatic locking device is
activated, the belt stop can only be pulled out with a certain amount of effort. Release
the automatic locking device as follows:
– Pull the belt out of the housing 0.4 - 0.6 inch / 10 - 15 mm. A certain amount of effort
might be required to do this!
– Make the belt run back in.
– Now it should be possible to pull out the belt as usual.
The automatic locking device prevents the belt from being retracted while the forklift
is located on a steep slope. The forklift must therefore be driven away from the steep
slope before the seatbelt can be secured.
