Coolant specification

The coolant quality affects the efficiency and service life of the cooling system. Follow
the specifications below on antifreeze compounds and corrosion protection for
optimal maintenance.
– Always use clean, soft water.
– To prevent freeze and corrosion damages, use an antifreeze compound based on
ethylene glycol. Use standard antifreeze with a pH value of 7.0 - 8.5.

– Observe the correct mixing ratio when using antifreeze compounds. The antifreeze
protection must meet the standard listed above.

The manufacturer is not responsible for damage resulting from freezing or corrosion
if the system is used improperly.

Antifreeze contains ethylene glycol and other poisonous toxic ingredients.
These can be absorbed by the human body if large amounts come into
contact with the skin repeatedly or for an extended period of time.
Always take the following precautions when handling antifreeze compounds:
– NEVER ingest antifreeze.
IMMEDIATE medical attention.
– Prevent skin from coming in contact with antifreeze for an extended period of time.
– Wash splashes immediate from skin.
– If antifreeze comes into contact with eyes, rinse out immediately.
– Clothing splashed with antifreeze must be removed and washed before the clothing
is worn again.
– Wear protective clothing if handling antifreeze regularly and often (plastic or rubber
gloves, boots and impermeable overalls or aprons).

Corrosion inhibitor mixtures contain additives which are toxic if ingested and
can be absorbed by the body in toxic amounts if the skin comes in contact
repeatedly or for an extended period of time. Observe the same precautions
as with antifreeze.
