Engine maintenance DFG 316s/320s

Replacing engine oil and filter
IMPORTANT Only replace engine oil when
it is at operating temperature
and when the vehicle is in a
horizontal position. Always
replace the engine oil and
filter together.
Drain engine oil
– Unscrew cap (13).
– Clean oil drain plug (14) and
around the drain hole thoroughly.
– Unscrew oil drain plug and drain oil
into a suitable container.

Caution: risk of scalding from
the hot oil.
– Screw oil drain plug (14) on again
with a new seal.
NOTICE Properly dispose of used oil.
Replacing engine oil filter
– Loosen oil filter (15) with a filter
wrench and unscrew by hand.
NOTICE Collect draining oil; properly
dispose of oil filter and oil.
– Clean seal surfaces and oil filter flange thoroughly.
– Lightly oil new filter seal with fresh engine oil.
– Screw on oil filter by hand.
