Exchanging gas cylinders

Gas cylinders should only be exchanged in the designated location, and by
trained and authorized employees.
– Switch off and secure the vehicle
before fueling (see Chapter E).
– Shut stop valve (3) tightly.
– Start motor and run gas system
in neutral until empty.
– Loosen cap units (4) with the
appropriate
holding onto handle (6).
– Disconnect
immediately screw valve cover
cap onto the empty gas cylinder.
– Loosen closure bands (8) and
remove cover plate (7).
– Carefully remove gas cylinder
from the
securely.

Only 39.6 lbs / 18-kg (7.7
gal / 29-Liter) exchange-
able gascylinders may be
used.
– Place new gas cylinder into the
holder and turn so that the port of
the stop valve is facing down.
– Secure the gas cylinder with the
closure bands.
– Reconnect hose according to
specifications.
– Carefully open stop valve and
test connection for leaks with a
foaming material.
