Forklifts with two gas cylinders
QwW
Industrial trucks with two gas cylinders have a stop valve with two possible
settings:
1. If both liquified petroleum gas cylinders are open, this allows the maximum
possible fuel supply.
2. If one liquified petroleum gas cylinder is open, this holds one cylinder in reserve.
The following instructions must be followed for safety reasons:
– The system must not be used when one of the two cylinders is disconnected.
– The plastic dust cover needs to be examined regularly and left on the hydrostatic
reducing valve during maintenance to prevent contamination.
– If the second cylinder will be held in reserve, its valve must be shut and manually
opened when the main cylinder is empty.
– When the main cylinder is empty and the reserve cylinder is opened, the valve of
the empty cylinder must be shut for safety reasons.
– If both cylinders will be used and the pressure in both cylinders is not identical, the
liquified petroleum gas will first be drawn from the cylinder with the higher pressure
until the pressure in both cylinders is identical. Then gas will be drawn from both
cylinders.
– If one cylinder's hose ruptures, the gas supply from the other cylinder will be
interrupted (to prevent both cylinders from running empty).
