Fill engine oil
– Fill fresh engine oil into the
opening
operating resources table (see
Section 8).
Fill quantity: 2.16 gal / 8.2 l
– Check oil level with dipstick (6),
correct if necessary (see Chapter
8, Section 2).
– Screw cap back on.
– Reinsert dipstick completely.
IMPORTANT After oil and oil filter have
been replaced, check oil
pressure warning light (18)
during an engine test run,
and check the oil drain plug
and oil filter for leaks.
Check V-belt tension
– Push in
radiator V-belt pulley (19) and the
alternator V-belt pulley (20) with a
force of 22.5 lbf / 100 N.
The V-belt should push in approx.
0.19 inch / 5 mm.
Setting the V-belt tension
– Loosen screws (21) and pull
alternator (22) in direction of arrow
until the specified tension is
reached.
– Retighten screw.
– Recheck V-belt tension and repeat
setting procedure if necessary.
