IMPORTANT Ensure that the machine is positioned horizontal. Open the equalizing tank
seal slowly. Using a funnel, fill the cooling system slowly to the level
described in the manufacturer's manual. The filter will generate the pressure
needed to prevent air from entering the cooling system. Wait until all air
bubbles have escaped and then replace the seal. Start the engine. Turn off
the engine when it has reached operating temperature and allow it to cool.
Slowly open the equalizing tank seal and add coolant until the correct level is
reached according to the manual's specifications, if necessary. Replace the
seal.

Cleaning/replacing air filter cartridge

IMPORTANT Carry out all maintenance work while the engine is turned off. Do not start the
engine while the air filter cartridge is removed.
– Loosen 2 fastening clamps (70) and
remove the dust receptacle (71).
– Carefully remove the inner (72) and
outer (73) air filter cartridges from
the filter housing (69).
– Blow out the outer cartridge (73) with
dry compressed air from inside out
until no more dust comes out.
– Carefully wipe out the inner cartridge
(72) with a lint-free cloth.
IMPORTANT Wipe out the filter housing with
a clean cloth rather than
blowing it out with compressed
air.
– Replace damaged or excessively
dirty air filter cartridges.
– Remove the rubber element and
clean dust receptacle thoroughly.
– Reinsert air filter cartridges into the
filter housing and fasten.
IMPORTANT Do not damage air filter
cartridges during installation.
– Replace dust receptacle and fasten with the 2 fastening clamps.
NOTICE Some models are equipped only with the outer air filter insert (73).
