IMPORTANT Towing with an engine taken out of service causes an overheating of the
hydrostatic drive shaft. To prevent this, the forklift must only be towed at a
maximum speed of 2.5 mph / 4 km/h over a short distance.
– After the towing, it is absolutely necessary that the washers and O-rings are
reinstalled. If these instructions are not followed, the emergency or parking brake
is prevented from working.
– Remove the drain screws (74) and reinstall the washers (75) and new O-rings (76).
Tighten the drain screws to a torque of 44.25 ± 4.42 lbf ft / 60 ± 6 Nm.
Towing point
When moving a forklift, a rigid tow bar
must be used.
The towing point of the forklift is
labeled with (77).
Use of the towing point
– Push the towing pin (78) down and
turn it 90 degrees.
– Pull the towing pin upward and insert
the towing lug or the trailer towing
bar into the opening (79).
– Insert the towing pin, push it down
and turn it 90 degrees until it
engages.
