3.5 Picking up, transporting and putting
down load units

The control lever may only be
operated from the driver seat.
IMPORTANT Before lifting a load unit, the
driver must be sure that it is
palletized correctly and does not
exceed
capacity of the vehicle.
Heed load diagram!
Adjusting forks

The fork must be adjusted in
such a way that both fork arms
have the same distance to the
outside edges of the fork carrier
and the load center is centered
between the fork arms.
– Move locking lever (65) upward.
– Push the fork arms (66) on the fork
carrier (67) into the correct position.
– Move locking lever downward and
shift the fork arm until it rests in a
notch.
Picking up a load
– Carefully approach the load to be
picked up.
– Place direction of travel lever (29) in
neutral position.
– Place the parking brake switch (31) in
position I .
– Lift the forks to the appropriate height
relative to the load.
– Switch direction of travel lever into
forward drive and release parking
brake.
