1. Intended use

• Fissler pressure cookers are intended for the quick cooking of food and the intended
uses listed in Chapter 6 and can only be used for these purposes. Improper use may
result in hazards.
• Fissler pressure cookers are only suitable for the intended, private use.
• Furthermore, Fissler pressure cookers can only be used up to a maximum stove power
of 3700 watts.
• The fill levels listed in Chapter 5 must be observed to ensure safe use of the pressure
cooker.

2. Safety instructions

User instructions

• Please read the user instructions and all directions completely before using the
vitaquick
pressure cooker, as improper use may result in damage.
®
• Please save these instructions for future reference for as long as you own the
product. However, if you have lost the user instructions, you can download them from
our website www.fissler.com.
• Do not leave the pressure cooker in the hands of anyone who has not first familiarized
themselves with the user instructions.
• Please only pass your pressure cooker on to third parties with the user instructions.

Supervision

• Suffocation hazard due to plastic bag. Keep the plastic bag out of reach of children as
there is a risk of suffocation.
• Do not use the pressure cooker near children.
• Please never leave the pressure cooker unattended. Regulate the energy supply so that
the cooking indicator does not rise above the second groove. If the energy supply is not
reduced, steam will escape through the valve and the pot will lose liquid. A complete
loss of liquid will cause the food to burn and can cause damage to the pot and hob.

Safe use of the pressure cooker

• Never use pressure cookers or pressure skillets in a hot oven. Handles, valves and
safety devices will be damaged by the high temperatures and will then no longer be
able to fulfil their safety function.
• Always fry in the pressure cooker without a lid and do not fill it more than halfway with
fat. Never fry with pressure!
• Pressure cookers must not be used in the medical field. Especially not as a medical
sterilizer, as pressure cookers are not designed for the required sterilization
26
temperature.
• Do not prepare applesauce or compotes in the pressure cooker, as steam bubbles
often form here which can burst open when opening the pot and cause scalding.
• When cooking meat in a pressure cooker, excess pressure is created in the meat.
Therefore, after opening the pressure cooker, please let the meat rest for a while before
piercing or moving it to avoid burns.

Safety and maintenance

• Only use the pressure cooker with original and fully functional Fissler components. Only
use original Fissler spare parts. In particular, only use pots and lids of the same model
and other spare parts of the type intended for your appliance (see chapter 9). Failure to
do so will impair the function and safety of the pressure cooker.
• Before each use, make sure that all valves and safety devices are undamaged,
functional and clean. This is the only way to ensure safe operation. Information on this
can be found in chapter 5.
• Do not make any modifications to the pressure cooker. In particular, do not tamper
with the safety devices – except for the maintenance measures listed in the user
instructions. Do not oil the valves!
• Replace wear parts such as the sealing ring and other rubber parts regularly with
original Fissler spare parts, i.e. after a maximum of 400 cooking processes or
after 2 years at the latest. Parts that show visible damage (e.g. hardening, cracks,
discoloration, overheating or deformation) or that do not fit correctly must be replaced
immediately. Failure to do so will impair the function and safety of your pressure
cooker.
• For your own safety, please tighten loosened screws immediately.
• In addition, replace cracked or damaged plastic handles immediately with original
Fissler spare parts.
Repair notice:
You can make minor repairs yourself:
• Replacing parts affected by wear (sealing ring, pressure regulator, the Euromatic or
handles).
• Retightening screws.
For other repairs, please contact Fissler customer service.
(See chapter 10)

that the device is properly closed before heating. Information on this can be found in
chapter 4. Never use the pressure cooker with the lid on loosely.
• Only use the heating sources listed in chapter 5.
• Never heat the pressure cooker without liquid in it, as overheating can cause damage
