Managing therapy Settings
DeVilbiss DV5X series CPAPs and SmartLink™ Therapy Management provide you with a wide variety of therapy setting options. Full details on the
®
options and their default settings are listed in the
CPAP itself or set them in the SmartLink software and then transfer them to the CPAP using a data card.
To manually set therapy parameters on the CPAP , follow the instructions in the DV51 or DV54 Set-Up Guides. Verify that the settings match those in the
SmartLink software study record.
to set therapy parameters in SmartLink software and then transfer the new settings to the CPAP using a data card:
1. Insert the card reader into a USB port on the computer running SmartLink software and insert a data card in the reader.
2. Select the appropriate table in the Patients menu.
3. Select 'View/Edit Study Details' from the Options menu for that patient.
4. Enter the desired changes in the Therapy Settings tab, the Device Settings tab or, for the AutoAdjust device only, the Respiratory Event Detection
tab. Views of these study tabs and their default settings are available in the Appendix.
5. Click the SAVE button to transfer the changes to the data card and to save them in the software.
• If the transfer is successful, the software will enter a System Note in the patient record:

– Verification of the setting change will be noted on the card and entered in the patient record during the next transfer of therapy data to
the software. The patient note includes the success of the setting change with the date.
• If a blank data card is inserted into the card reader, a message appears:

• If the Data card contains data that has not been downloaded yet, a warning appears:

• Click 'Cancel' and download the unread data before saving the settings to the data card. Then repeat steps 2-5 to save the settings changes.
6. Insert the data card into the SmartLink Module attached to the patient's CPAP . The CPAP will display one of the following messages:
