Creating a Study Record using nEW Patients and Devices
1. Click the [New Patient] button OR select 'All Patients' in the Patients menu and then click the [New Patient] button.
2. Enter the patient information and click SAVE. A view of the patient information form is available in the

– You can create a record using only the patient's first and last name. Additional information can be added to the record at any time.
3. When the Assign Device? prompt appears, select YES.
4. In the Study Details window, select [New Device] in the 'Select a Device' menu and enter the device serial number in the next window.
5. Click SAVE. A message will appear saying Device Created Successfully.
6. In the next Study Details screen, modify or accept the default settings in the Therapy Settings tab, the Device Settings tab and, for the AutoAdjust
device only, the Respiratory Event Detection tab. Views of these study tabs and their default settings are available in the Appendix.
7. Click SAVE.
8. When prompted to insert a data card to transfer settings to the CPAP:
a. Select OK to copy the settings to the data card for transfer to the CPAP through the SmartLink Module. – OR –
b. Select 'Cancel' and configure the CPAP settings manually.
Editing a Study Record
To change therapy settings in a study record and transfer the changes to the CPAP , use the instructions available in
Therapy Settings.
To edit or add comments in a device record or to delete a device record, use the instructions available in
Deleting a Device Record. You cannot make changes to device information through the study record.
to edit patient or therapy information:
1. Select the appropriate table in the 'Patients' menu.
2. Click the Options drop-down menu for the chosen patient:
a. Select 'View/Edit Study Details' to edit therapy information.
b. Select 'View/Edit Patient Information' to edit patient details.

– If you selected 'View/Edit Study Details', use the tabs under [Device Settings] button to locate the information you want to edit in the
first Study Details screen. Views of these tabs and their default settings are available in the Appendix.
