d) The exponential function

With the help of the exponential function, you can change the linear coupling between the controller and the servo
path (interrupted line in the sketches) in the central position. The maximum possible servo deflection is not limited by
the activation of the exponential function.
If the exponential share is increased, the servo motion is stronger in the range of the central position (sketch A).
If the exponential share is decreased, the servo motion is weaker in the range of the central position (sketch B).
Setting the exponential function for the steering servo
• Switch on the transmitter. On the transmitter's LC display the operating display
will appear.
• Press the SEL button (see ill. 1, pos. 3) three times to access the menu for
setting the exponential function the steering servo.
• Next to the menu display „EXP-STN", the display also shows the default or
the last set value for the exponential function.
• With the plus and minus buttons (see illustration 1, pos. 4) you can now set
the desired value between -100% and +100%.
Depending on the prefix of the set value, the servo motion increases or
decreases in the range of the central position. With a setting of 0%, the servo
path corresponds to the linear line.
• If you press and hold the plus and minus buttons (see ill. 1, pos. 4) at the
same time, the default value of 0% is restored automatically.
Practical tip:
Set a negative value for the steering to fine-control the model while driving straight at high speed.
