• When you push the operating lever for the drive function (see illustration 01, no. 7) all the way forward away from the
handle, the brake of the vehicle must engage. An adjustment screw at the carburettor prevents the throttle valve
from closing completely. This way the engine will not stall when the brakes are applied. You can adjust the braking
function with adjusting rings and springs and then use the EPA function for a precise fine-tuning.
• Before you start the motor for the first time, set the appropriate function for the throttle plug at the carburettor.
• Using the adjuster button „DT 2" (also see ill. 1, pos. 2), you can fine-tune the idle run of the motor. Then re-adjust the
throttle controls until the digital trimming is set to 00% again at optimum idling.
 Electric models with mechanical drive control:
• Switch on the transmitter and then the receiver.
• Check whether the digital drive trimming is set to 00% or set this value, if necessary.
• Adjust the linkage for the mechanical drive control so that the electric motor does not start up when the operating
lever for the drive function (see illustration 01, no. 7) is in the central position (see also illustration 13).
• Using the central servo adjuster, you can conduct a fine-tuning, if necessary, to compensate for mechanical variances
and to ensure a secure shutting-off of the drive motor.
• When you steer the model forward and backward using the transmitter, the drive control must close the respective
contacts without any problem and switch the motor reliably to the correct running direction.
• If the servo runs in the wrong direction, change the rotation direction of the servo on the receiver output 2 as
described before (CH2).
• By conducting practical tests, you can now determine the point of the rudder horn at which the you must attach the
drive control linkage to achieve the best possible switching of the contacts. While you do this, the EPA value should
be approximately between 100 and 120%. When you are finished, you can change it for fine-tuning.
Our tip:
To adjust the drive control, simply connect a 12 V light bulb instead of the motor. This allows you to
immediately recognise whether the control switches or not. During this process, the model remains
safely on the workbench. To check the running direction, set the model on a suitable base so that the
wheels can spin freely without touching the ground.

c) Operation during driving

Besides the operating elements for the drive and steering function, you can also operate the trim for both functions
with the buttons "DT1" and "DT 2" during operation.
To be able to react to changing situations during driving, you can also set the dual rate function of the steering with the
button „DT 3" (see ill. 1, pos. 12) without having to change to the programming menu. Fifteen seconds after the last
push of a button, the last set value is saved and the display switches back to operating display.
With the help of the button „DT 4" (see ill. 1, pos. 10), you can readjust the EPA function of the brake without having to
change to the programming menu. Fifteen seconds after the last push of a button, the last set value is saved and the
display switches back to operating display.
