b) Setting the digital driving trimming

In the same way as is possible for digital steering trimming, you can adjust the stop position for the operating lever for
the drive function electronically.
In doing so, it does not play a role whether you insert a servo in your model that operates the carburettor of a combustion
engine or a mechanical speed regulator or whether you use an electronic speed regulator. The setting of the digital
drive trim is always the same.
• According to demand, you can set the central position of the connected servo
or the drive control in such a way with the button „DT 2" (see ill. 1, pos. 2) that
an electric motor in the model is always turned off properly, or that a
combustion motor works cleanly while idling.
• Besides the display for the throttle servo (TRM-TH) and the two direction
arrows „L.F.U." or „R.B.D.", the display also shows the value of the set trim in
percent.
• Five seconds after the last push of a button, the last set value is saved and
the display switches back to operating display.
Setting the digital drive trim with electronic drive controls
If the electronic drive control has a programming option for the different positions (motor off, full throttle and reverse
drive), you can leave the trim set to 00%.
If the control has no programming functions, determine the value by rolling your model slightly forwards or backwards.
Then set the number that is exactly between the two limit values.
Setting the digital drive trim using a throttle servo
 Models with combustion engine:
• Switch on the transmitter and then the receiver.
• Check whether the digital drive trimming is set to 00% or set this value, if necessary.
• Mount the servo lever with the carburettor steering linkage on the servo in such a way that the throttle plug on the
carburettor is almost closed in this position (idle position).
• When you pull the operating lever for the drive function (see illustration 01, pos. 7) as far as possible towards the
transmitter handle, the throttle valve at the carburettor must be opened all the way.
• If the servo runs in the wrong direction, change the rotation direction of the servo on the receiver output 2 as
described before (CH2).
• By conducting practical tests, you can now determine the point of the rudder horn at which the you must attach the
carburettor linkage to achieve the best possible opening and closing of the carburettor. While you do this, the EPA
value should be approximately between 100 and 120%. When you are finished, you can change it for fine-tuning.
