STORING

Storing liquid nitrogen
To ensure a clean supply of liquid nitrogen the storage tank (dewar)
must be completely emptied prior to refilling 3 - 4 times per year. If
necessary, water from icecrystals remaining inside the tank can be dried
out by creating air circulation (e.g. using a vacuum cleaner for approx. 30
minutes).
Storing the CryoPro® device
At the end of the workday it is highly recommended to empty the unit
by removing the lid and discarding any excess liquid nitrogen. Do NOT
pour it back into the dewar to avoid contamination. Once the bottle is
empty it is recommended to store the bottle upside down for a minimum
of 30 minutes before applying the lid. In order to avoid accumulation of
condensation the CryoPro® should be stored with the lid on.
The empty device and accessories must be stored at regular room
temperature and humidity. There are no special storage requirements
and no restrictions on shelf-life. Contact probes do not need to be stored
in sterile condition but must be sterilized before use.
The lifetime of the device and the accessories is 5 years. The lifetime of
the contact probes is 5 years or 100 reprocessing cycles.

MAINTENANCE

No preventive maintenance is needed.

DISPOSAL

CryoPro® and metal accessories can be disposed of as metal scrap
or returned to Cortex Technology for disposal. It is recommended
to decontaminate contact probes before disposal or dispose as
contaminated materials.
