Seat belts not fastened signal

The seat belt fastened warning light is integral with the instrument panel. There are two types of
indication:
 empty figure = the presence of an occupant is not detected, and the seat belt does not
therefore need to be fastened;
 full figure = the presence of an occupant is detected, and the seat belt needs to be fastened.
The acoustic signal related to the SBR function is emitted by the buzzer. The information is sent to the
NQS.
The signal activation logic is as follows:
DRIVER
If the driver is the only occupant and their seat belt is not fastened, when 20 km/h is exceeded or
when travelling at a speed between 10 and 20 km/h for longer than 5 seconds, an acoustic signal
cycle will be started for the front seats (continuous acoustic signal for 6 seconds followed by an
intermittent 90 second beep). The warning light will flash. The reminder cycle (acoustic and visual) will
be repeated as described above if the seat belt is unfastened while travelling.
PASSENGER
A similar solution applies for the passenger, but the indication is interrupted when the passenger
leaves the car as well. If both the front seat belts are unfastened with car in motion and within a few
seconds one from the other, the acoustic signal and activation of the warning light will refer to the most
recent event.
The driver can permanently deactivate the instrument panel warning cycle horn only via the
intervention of Technical Service. The warning lights cannot be deactivated under any circumstances.

Warning cycle reactivation method

The driver can reactivate the warning cycle acoustic indication using the appropriate option in the
setup menu or via the intervention of Technical Service. This option disappears once the warning
cycle is reactivated.
