NOTE: If necessary to reach the immunity test
level, the distance between the transmitter
antenna and COMPACT PIEZO LED can be
reduced to 1 m. The test distance of 1 m is
allowed by IEC 61000-4-3.
7 TROUBLESHOOTING
7.1 Diagnostics
COMPACT PIEZO LED is provided with a diagnostic circuit that allows the detection of
malfunctions and viewing of their type via the two-coloured green/red LED on the module.

Correct operation.
Incorrect installation:
• potentiometer not connected.
Indicates that the general protection was ac-
tivated during the last cycle.
Indicates that the failed tuning scan protec-
tion was activated during the last cycle.

Incorrect installation:
• Power supply too low;
• Power supply too high;
• Potentiometer not connected.
General protection tripped:
• Handpiece not connected to the cord;
• Tuning circuit malfunction;
• Broken wire in the cord;
• Faulty Handpiece.
