II.3.5

ELECTRICAL CONNECTIONS

DANGER!
Electrical connection of the unit must be carried out
by qualified personnel in compliance with the
regulations in effect in the country where the unit is
installed. RHOSS shall not be held liable for
damage to persons or property caused by incorrect
electrical connection.
IMPORTANT!
Refer to the wiring diagrams enclosed with the unit
which specify the terminals to be used by the
installer.
The control board on the units is equipped with a general isolator switch
with door interlock.
Connections must be carried out in compliance with the local and
national regulations in effect and the wiring diagrams supplied with the
appliance.
The unit must be earthed in compliance with legal requirements.
Earth connection must be carried out during installation using the
terminal marked with the "PE" earth sign.
• Always install a general isolator switch in a protected area near the
appliance with a delayed characteristic curve of a suitable capacity and
breaking capacity. Make sure the general isolator includes a 3mm
minimum opening distance between contacts.
• Power supply must be provided by a three phase line using a three-
pole + neutral cable suitably sized in relation to the power input of the
appliance.
The power supply cables must be routed through the external cable
duct.
• The units are supplied with the remote on-off parameter enabled.
II.3.5.1
Connection of electric pump/secondary
circulation pumps
DANGER!
Electrical connection of the unit must be carried out
by qualified personnel in compliance with the
regulations in effect in the country where the unit is
installed. RHOSS shall not be held liable for
damage to persons or property caused by incorrect
electrical connection.
IMPORTANT!
Refer to the wiring diagrams enclosed with the unit
which specify the terminals to be used by the
installer.
If one of the pumps stops running, act on the
backup pump selector on the control board to
enable the backup pump.
II.3.5.2
Remote management using connections set
up by the installer
DANGER!
Electrical connection of the unit must be carried out
by qualified personnel in compliance with the
regulations in effect in the country where the unit is
installed. RHOSS shall not be held liable for
damage to persons or property caused by incorrect
electrical connection.
IMPORTANT!
Refer to the wiring diagrams enclosed with the unit
which specify the terminals to be used by the
installer.
SCR - Remote control selector.
SEI - Remote summer-winter selector (THCE only)
LF - Compressor function lamp.
LB - General malfunction lamp.
SECTION II: INSTALLATION AND MAINTENANCE
• Remote ON/OFF enablement (SCR)
Remove the jumper between the terminals 29 and 30 on the user
interface terminal board and connect the cables coming from the
remote ON/OFF selector switch.
ATTENTION
IMPORTANT!
When the unit is switched OFF using the remote
control, the code E00 is displayed.
• Remote Summer/ Winter enablement on THCE (SEI)
Modify parameter H49 (from 0 to 1) and connect between terminals 27
and 28 on the interface terminal board the wires coming from the
Summer/Winter remote control.
ATTENTION
IMPORTANT!
When the unit is switched OFF using the remote
control, the code E00 is displayed.
• LF-LB lamp remote control
To remotely control the two signals, connect the two lamps according to
the instructions provided in the wiring diagram supplied with the
machine.
II.3.6

NOISE LEVEL REDUCTION

IMPORTANT!
The unit is designed for outdoor installation,
therefore the local and national rules in force for the
noise level should be respected. Incorrect
positioning or installation of the unit may cause the
amplification of the noise level or of vibrations
generated during operation.
○ During installation it is important to bear in mind the following:
• reflecting walls not acoustically insulated near the unit, such as
balcony walls or building perimeter walls, may cause an increase of the
total sound pressure level measured close to the unit, equal to 3 dB(A)
for each wall (for instance an angle with 2 walls causes an increase of 6
dB(A);
• install suitable vibration-damping supports under the unit to avoid
transmitting vibrations to the building structure;
• it is possible to fit the building roofs with a rigid structure able to
support a unit and transfer its weight to the load bearing elements of the
building;
• carry out all water connections using elastic joints. Pipes must be
firmly supported by solid structures. In cases where the pipes pass
through walls or separation panels, insulate them with elastic sleeves.
○ In cases where after installation and start-up of the unit there are
structural vibrations of the building such as to cause resonance
generating noise in any part of the building, it is necessary to consult a
technician skilled in acoustics to get to the root of the problem.
