approximately five minutes. Let the process finish without further interaction with the device or

Use MS-DOS to upgrade the firmware
This procedure requires that the device be connected to a Windows network. Before beginning, obtain
the device network address or hostname. To find the address, on the device control panel, touch
Network Address.
1. From a command prompt or in an MS-DOS window, type the following: copy /B <FILENAME>
\\<COMPUTERNAME>\<SHARENAME>, where <FILENAME> is the name of the .RFU file (including
the path), <COMPUTERNAME> is the name of the computer from which the device is being shared,
and <SHARENAME> is the device share name. For example: C:\>copy /b C:\8060fW.RFU
\\YOUR_SERVER\YOUR_COMPUTER.

upgrade file is considered valid if it contains a valid header.) Upgrade information is displayed about
the MFP's current firmware version and the upgrade version.
3. Click Upgrade to initiate the firmware upgrade.
