Reset the administrator password
Follow these steps to clear the administrator password:
1. Enter the Startup Menu, and then sign in to the Startup Menu. For help, see

2. Select Service Tools and then sign in with the service password.
3. Select Reset Administrator Password.

Enter Protected Service Mode (PSM)
When you select Protected Service Mode, the MFP enters PSM when the power cycle continues and
affects only this power up.
Follow these steps to enter Protected Service Mode (PSM):
1. Enter the Startup Menu, and then sign in to the Startup Menu. For help, see

2. Select Service Tools and then sign in with the service password.
3. Select Protected Service Mode.
