File menu

New
Creates a new setup file in the workspace. The user can choose between the following
options after calling the "New" command:
n

Custom setting

For the new setup type file, additional features and option boards can be selected.
This option is used to create a new Setup without a connected device.
n Automatic recognition
The equipment (Extra Codes and option boards) of the connected device is read into
the new setup file. If applicable, select the check box "Export the setup file from
device". The current configuration of the device is then imported into the new setup file
and is available for editing. This option is used to edit or create the setup for an
existing or new device.
Open ...
Opens an existing setup file and displays the content in the workspace.
Save
Saves the settings shown in the workspace in a setup file.
The file name must be entered only once. If the file is saved again, the file name is not
queried.
Save as ...
Saves the settings shown in the workspace in a setup file. In contrast to the "Save"
function, the file name will always be asked for here.
Close
Removes the settings from the workspace and closes the setup window. The user has the
opportunity not to save unsaved changes.
Export as RTF
Saves the current setting as an RTF file on the PC.
This feature is helpful to document a device configuration.
Print ...
Prints the setup settings of the project or module (depending on the selected object in the
library). Select the menus to print.
Page view ...
The print result is displayed on the screen. Multiple pages can be displayed and the size
of the display can be changed.
Printer setup ...
Change the printer settings. At the program startup, the Windows default printer is always
used as the active printer.
Defaults ...
Change the default settings of the setup program. Some changes do not take effect until
you restart the setup program.
Recent files ...
Shows the file name of the last saved setup files. Click the file name to open the setup file
and sets an already open setup file as the active window.
Exit
Exits the setup program. The user has the opportunity not to save unsaved changes.
