No coffee grounds come out during
the grinding process.
During the grinding process, coffee
powder sticks to the grinder outlet
and/or spreads uncontrollably.
During the brewing process, the
espresso runs over the edges of the
portafilter.
The bean container is
empty.
The grinder is clogged
with coffee powder
or there is water or
moisture in the grinder.
The anti-static unit is
dirty.
The portafilter is not
inserted correctly in the
brewing unit.
There is coffee powder
on the edge of the
filter basket.
The filter basket is filled
with too much coffee
powder.
The seal of the brewing
unit is dirty or has lost
its elasticity.
The outlet on the
brewing unit is blocked.

Fill the bean container with coffee
beans.
Clean the grinder as described in the
chapter "Cleaning and Care" and ensure
that the grinder is completely dry
before reassembling it.
Carefully clean the entire grinding
outlet from below with the cleaning
brush.
Clean the brewing unit as described in
the chapter "Cleaning and Care" and
ensure that the portafilter is inserted
correctly in the brewing unit.
Remove the coffee powder from the
edge of the filter basket and ensure
that the portafilter is inserted correctly
in the brewing unit.
Ensure that the correct filter basket
is used for the desired amount of
coffee powder. Pay attention to the
recommended amount of coffee
powder for the 1 or 2-cup filter basket.
Clean the brewing unit as described in
the chapter "Cleaning and Care".
Have the seal of the brewing unit
replaced by an authorized service
centre.
