1| Knock the remaining coffee ground out of
the filter basket. You can use the cleaning
brush to assist with this.
2| Finally, rinse the portafilter with the sieve
under running water or with the hot water
dispenser.
If the filter baskets are clogged, proceed as
follows:
1| Remove the filter basket from the portafilter.
2| Clean the filter basket under running water
with a soft cloth and some mild detergent.
Then rinse and dry it carefully.
3| If the holes are blocked, clean them with the
cleaning needle.
CAUTION
Risk of injury!
Use the needle with caution to avoid
injury!
4| Rinse the filter basket once again.
NOTE
You can also soak the filter baskets in a descal-
ing solution for 30 minutes. Then rinse and dry
them carefully.
8.6| CLEANING THE DRIP TRAY
The drip tray (N) has a float (red) to indicate the
water level. Empty and clean the drip tray as
soon as the float is clearly visible. Otherwise, the
water may overflow and damage the espresso
machine, the work surface, or the surrounding
area. Proceed as follows:
1| Remove the drip grid from the drip tray and
remove the drip tray from the device.
2| Empty the drip tray.
3| Remove the cover at the back of the drip
tray.
4| Remove the float by turning it 90° and then
pulling it out with a little force.

5| Clean all individual parts with a soft cloth
and some mild detergent. Then rinse and dry
them carefully.
6| Reassemble all parts and then reinsert the
drip tray into the device.
8.7| CLEANING THE GRINDING
MECHANISM
Clean the grinder regularly to ensure consistent
grinding quality. Proceed as follows:
1| Grind with the empty bean container (if nec-
essary, empty it first) until no coffee powder
comes out of the coffee grinder.
NOTE
Grinding is not possible without a bean
container.
2| Remove the bean container by turning it
anticlockwise.
