the scale and an incorrect grinding weight will
be displayed!
Do not lift the portafilter during the
grinding process! This can damage the
scale and an incorrect grinding weight will be
displayed!
CAUTION
Do not reach into the grinder outlet with your
fingers during the grinding process!
NOTE
Recommended grinding quantity:
1-cup filter basket: 11 – 13 g.
2-cup filter basket: 17 – 19 g.
The scale is intended for controlling the
grinding quantity. Slight deviations may occur
due to humidity, temperature or remaining
coffee powder in the coffee grinder.
The grinding quantity for the two filter bas-
kets may vary depending on the coffee variety
and personal preferences.
To avoid aroma loss, only grind coffee for
immediate use. Store the coffee beans and
the excess coffee powder in an airtight con-
tainer for no longer than 14 days.
5| Pull the portafilter (1) straight out of the
grinder outlet (H). Gently tap the portafilter
with your hand to evenly distribute the cof-
fee powder. Alternatively, use a leveler for
this.
6| Place the portafilter (1) with the rubber pad
straight on the edge of a table. Tamp the
coffee powder firmly (approx. 10 – 15 kg).
After tamping, ensure that the coffee powder
is evenly distributed in the filter basket and
that a level surface has been created.
NOTE
Tamping can be carried out with or without the
funnel (5).
7| Remove the funnel (5) and wipe off the
excess coffee powder from the edge of the
portafilter.
