4| Press the steam button to start the process.
Froth the milk until you achieve a satisfac-
tory milk foam. The milk should not get hot-
ter than 65 °C.
NOTE
Always clean the steam lance immediately after
switching off the steam as described in the
chapter "Cleaning and Care" to ensure that milk
residues do not remain stuck. Use the supplied
cleaning cloth (12) for this.
The steam function automatically stops after
•
60 seconds.
The steam function can be stopped at any
•
time by pressing the steam button again or
the ON/OFF button.
If the Eco mode is activated, pressing the
•
steam button for the first time will heat up
the steam heater (steam button pulsates). As
soon as the steam button lights up continu-
ously again, the milk foam preparation can be
started by pressing the steam button again.
WARNING
Risk of burns!
The steam lance is hot! Take care not to
burn yourself!
Do not lift the steam lance out of the
milk in steam mode to prevent the milk
from splashing.
To achieve the best results when frothing milk,
proceed as follows:
1| Hold the milk jug at a slight angle to the side
and immerse the steam lance approx. 1-2 cm
into the milk.
2| Once the milk moves in a circle, move the
milk jug downwards until the steam lance
almost reaches the surface of the milk and it
starts to hiss. Make sure that the steam lance
remains in the milk and that the swirling
motion of the milk is maintained.
3| As soon as the milk is lukewarm (approx.
35 °C) and enough air has been absorbed into
the milk, move the milk jug upwards again -
the hissing stops. Continue to maintain the
swirling motion of the milk.
4| As soon as the milk is hot enough and the
milk foam is satisfying, end the process with
the steam button.

5.4| DISPENSING HOT WATER
1| Place a cup under the hot water outlet (J).
2| a) Press the hot water button once. The
machine starts dispensing hot water. The
machine stops automatically as soon
as the set amount of water has been
dispensed.
NOTE
The hot water dispensing a) can be stopped
at any time by pressing the hot water button
again or the ON/OFF button.
b) Press and hold the hot water button to
start continuous water dispensing. The
water dispensing stops when the button is
released. The maximum amount of water
that can be dispensed is 300 ml.
