All components must be checked for completeness and
functionality prior to initial operation. Before the power
wheelchair can be switched on, the fuse must be inserted
into the fuse holder at the rear end of the battery case (see
fig. 3).
To do so, remove the fuse from the protective cover on the
control panel, open the cap of the safety holder and insert the
fuse.
Make sure that the fuse is pressed into the centre of the
spring contacts and that it is not at an angle. Close the cap
until you feel it snap back into place.

5.1 Transportation in a wheelchair accessible
vehicle
WARNING
Risk of accidents and injury due to improper use for
transportation in a wheelchair accessible vehicle. Use
in a wheelchair accessible vehicle is not permissible if the
following options are used:
„ Use with luggage carrier
WARNING
Risk of injury due to improper transportation. The seats
installed in the motor vehicle along with the corresponding
vehicle restraint systems offer passengers optimum pro-
tection in the event of an accident. The power wheelchair
should only be used as a seat in a vehicle for the disabled
in exceptional cases, and only in conjunction with the
safety elements and restraint systems offered by Ottobock.
