6.6.4 Electric seat tilt (optional)

Risk of falling due to incorrect seat tilt handling
„ Drive in street traffic only with the seat tilt lowered.
„ When driving with the seat tilt activated, fasten the
belts (lap belt, four-point belt) and do not lean out be-
yond the seat surface with the seat raised.

The power wheelchair can be equipped with an electric seat
tilt option. The electric seat tilt adjustment lets you bring the
seat into a tilted position of up to 15° for pressure relief, for
example. The joystick in the "seat function" mode is used to
control this function (see section 6.3.6).
The seat can be continuously tilted backwards (see fig. 31).
While the seat is being raised into the standing position, the
seat tilt moves into the lowest end position. Seat tilt adjust-
ment is blocked, when the seat is in the standing position.
