When using a single-panel footplate, be sure the support of the footplate is engaged

user for function and stability against tipping with the assistance of qualified personnel.
4 Transportation
Flip up the footplate.
Grasp the middle of the seat upholstery in the front and the back and pull up. The wheelchair
will fold (Fig. 3).
Use the safety strap to hold the folded wheelchair in position when it is being lifted (Fig. 4).
During assembly, ensure that the footplate locking device engages.
INFORMATION
Depending on the wheelchair model, further options are available for making the wheelchair
more manageable for car transport etc. For the Avantgarde XXL 2 model the footrests can be
swung away and removed, thus further reducing the packing size in terms of the overall length.
Transportation is greatly facilitated by the removable quick-release axles on the rear wheels (in-
cluded in the standard version) (Fig. 5).
