2.4 Metering media
CAUTION!
Use of metering media:
– The metering system may only be used with products that have been
validated by Ecolab.
– The materials/media to be deployed for the intended use of the machine
are to be procured and used by the owner/operator of the machine.
– Correct handling of these materials/media and the risks involved are the
sole responsibility of the owner/operator.
– Hazard warnings and disposal instructions must be provided by the
owner/operator.
– When dealing with the metering medium, always use suitable protective
clothing (see the material safety data sheet for the metering medium).
– All safety regulations for the handling of chemicals must be maintained
and the information contained in the material safety data sheet/product
data sheet of the metering medium must be observed.
Liability is not accepted if invalidated products are used!
NOTICE!
The details on the metering medium safety sheet must be strictly observed;
operating personnel must be trained accordingly (training must be
documented)!
2.5 Safety data sheets
DANGER!
Safety data sheets are always provided with the chemistry supplied.
They must be read and understood before use and all instructions must be
implemented on site. The operator must provide the necessary protective
equipment (PPE) and the described emergency equipment (e.g. eye bottle,
etc.) on the basis of the safety data sheets. In addition, the operator must
instruct and train the persons to be entrusted with the operation of the
equipment accordingly.
n The safety data sheet is primarily intended for the user so that they can take any steps
necessary for safeguarding their health and safety at work.
n If you are not sure whether you have an up-to-date safety data sheet, please contact
your Ecolab technical advisor. He or she will be happy to help you to ensure that the
measures for the constant protection of health at the workplace are in place.
n Ecolab is well aware of the importance of safety data sheets and the responsibility that
they entail. The safety data sheets that Ecolab provides are subject to constant control
and revision. Doing this guarantees that the most up-to-date information is available at
all times.
n You will be provided with up-to-date safety data sheets for the products you are using
when they are first installed.
n During the course of ongoing improvement and continued development of Ecolab
products, products may vary in their composition. It is possible that products may even
be replaced with other products.
