Installation / Assembly
In the case of degasing media as well as media with a high viscosity
(> 100 mPas, according to the measuring method: Brookfield) this type of
installation is not recommended. Flooded conditions is a better alternative
here.

In the case of media which tends towards sedimentation, the base suction valve or the
foot valve of the suction line / suction lance must be mounted above the expected
sludge layer.
n
In the case of a free discharge point for the dosing medium, install a pressure control
valve or dosing valve immediately upstream of the end of the dosing line.
Dosing is only permitted into a free discharge point.
n

The TurboPUMP is not suitable for dosing of media in pressure lines.
n
The sum of the pressure losses of all downstream pipe sections or non-return /
pressure control valves must not be greater than 2 bar (0.2 MPa).
n
When dosing in pipes with a vacuum, a pressure control valve is to be installed in the
dosing line.
A siphon effect can be prevented by installing a pressure control valve in the dosing
n
line and possibly also a solenoid valve in the suction line.
n
Suction lines should be kept as short as possible. Long and labyrinthine suction lines
can lead to accumulation of air in the system.
n
The suction height must be a max. of 1.5 m and the maximum flow rate 0.3 m/s!
The suction line must always be installed sloping upwards towards the dosing pump.
n
Continuous operation of TurboPUMP is not permitted (max. duty cycle = see
Ä Chapter 9.1 'General data' on page 33.)
n
The dosing pump should be mounted at an easily accessible, frost-protected location.
n
The environmental temperature must not exceed +40°C!
n
The installation position of the device must be horizontal.
