Start-up
CAUTION!
Risk of injury if the emergency stop button is not accessible
– Install the station immediately next to the associated controller.
– If the station is installed at a great distance from the associated controller,
the emergency stop button cannot be reached in time in the event of a
malfunction.
– If compliance with this requirement is not possible, mount an optional
emergency stop button that is connected to the controller on the left or
right external surface of the station or on an adjacent wall.
6.2
Check the safety devices of the station
To ensure safety, it is mandatory to check the safety equipment prior to start-up.
1.
Check the correct installation and connection of all components.
2.
Visually check for leaks at the station.
3.
Perform a function test of the main switch.
4.
Use the prescribed PPE.
5.
Check the presence of all safety devices required according to the safety data sheet
for the chemicals used (e.g. eye shower, etc.).

Procedure for start-up
Preparing for initial start-up
1.
Check if functional water system separation is provided.
2.
Check all connections and joints for damage, leaks and tightness.
