Perform a visual inspection

Requirements:

Switch off the station and secure against switching back on.
1.
Check that the splash guard is present and free from damage.
2.
Check that all emergency stop buttons are present and accessible.
(Unit attached to the controller or station.)
3.
Check the function of the emergency stop button.
4.
Check all hoses and lines for damage, leaks and correct routing.
5.
Check suction valves and pressure valves for dirt and tightness.
6.
Check hydraulic connections for tightness and leaks.
7.
Check the pump head for product leakage (visual inspection for ruptured
membrane).
8.
Check the drip tray for traces of product and, if necessary, rectify the cause of the
product leak.
CAUTION!
Danger of slipping on wet floors
Liquids leaking in the working and preparation area can cause slipping and
injuries.
– Wear non-slip, chemical-resistant shoes when working
– Shut off the area of the escaping liquid
– Duly absorb any liquids escaping during work
– Keep a suitable container ready to collect the liquids during maintenance
work

Emergency stop buttons must be easily accessible by hand.
Do not place product containers or other objects in front of them.
If any product leaks are observed, exchange the pump in question or
replace the diaphragm.
