Safety
WARNING!
Risk of injury due to unprofessional installation, maintenance and repair
work
Improperly performed installation, maintenance and repair work can lead to
serious injuries.
– Work may be carried out only by authorised and trained specialist
personnel.
– Before starting work, switch off the station and secure it against being
switched back on.
– If available, press one of the emergency stop buttons before starting work.
– Observe the safety data sheet for the chemical product used.
– Before starting work, disconnect the chemical supply and clean the station.
– Use only approved original spare parts.
WARNING!
Burns caused by harmful chemical products
Chemical products can cause severe burns:
– Ensure adequate ventilation and extraction.
– Avoid skin and eye contact.
– Observe safety data sheet of the chemical products used.
– Wear suitable protective clothing as specified on the safety data sheet.
– Observe the safety data sheet for the chemical product used.
– Use PPE as specified on the safety data sheet of the chemical product
used.
– Provide medical material on site as described on the safety data sheet of
the chemical product used.
Leaks on the station can allow corrosive chemicals to escape and cause
serious injury.
– Before starting up the station, all lines, seals, etc. must have been tested
for leaks.
– Do not put the station into operation if leaks occur
– Check the station regularly for leak tightness.
– If leaks are detected, immediately press the emergency stop button, locate
the leak and seal off the area.
– Do not operate the station again until after the leaks have been repaired.
Risk of burns due to improper connection of the chemical containers
Improper connection of the containers can cause chemical leaks and severe
burns.
Ensure the following:
– The connection is carried out carefully and according to the regulations.
– Wear the prescribed PPE.
– Check for leaks.
