Personal protective equipment
DANGER!
Personal protective equipment, hereinafter referred to as PPE, is used to
protect personnel. The personnel who set up and install the pump must use
suitable PPE to protect against injury.
DANGER!
– The prescribed personal protective equipment (PPE) must be worn
during all maintenance work. Pay particular attention to the product data
sheet for the dosing chemical being used.
– Always rinse the metering head and depressurise the pressure line
before carrying out any maintenance and repair work and before dosing
dangerous media.
NOTICE!
Damage caused by using incorrect tools!
Damage may occur as a result of using incorrect tools during assembly,
maintenance or troubleshooting. Only use the correct tools.
CAUTION!
Any and all connection, servicing and maintenance work on the oval gear
meter may be performed only by authorized specialist staff.
In case of repair and servicing / maintenance work, and in case of metering
of hazardous fluids, always rinse the oval gear meter out, depressurize the
pressure line and put on protective clothing (safety goggles, safety gloves
and aprons) before starting work.
Before cleaning the oval gear meter and / or the system, always note the
product data sheet for the conveyed fluid, in order to prevent the possibility
of chemical reactions, in case, for example, of cleaning using water and
non-compatible chemicals.
It must be ensured when opening the oval gear meter that the system has
been depressurized and that any upstream metering pump cannot be
started.
