Select the menu Options -> Manage device description files
(GSD). The window Manage general station description files opens. Specify the
installation directory for the GSDML in Source path, select the GSDML file and
then select the Install button.

After installing the GSDML file, the project view of TIA Portal V13 opens
without any selection in the work area.
