Prerequisite:
n The main menu for the hand switch is displayed

Carry out an initialization run in the following circumstances:
n When commissioning the control unit for the first time
n When the number of connected drives is changed
n When resetting the control unit to factory settings
Connecting 2 - 8 control units in order to move drives synchro-

nously
n Message "Start initialization?" appearing on the display screen
n Respective error message
n Activation of drive group management

Select the "Control" menu.
ð The menu for entering the password (Fig. 62) is dis-
played.
Set the basic password or the advanced password (Fig. 62).
ð Depending on the password, either only the basic menu
items or all menu items of the "Control" menu are dis-
played.
In order to be able to move the drives, the initiali-
zation run must be completed.
