This section provides an overview of all of the important safety
aspects for the protection of persons and for safe and faultless
operation. Further task-based safety information is included in the
sections relating to the individual life cycle phases.
Safety information is indicated by symbols in this manual. Safety
information is introduced by signal words which indicate the extent
of the hazard.
The following symbols are used in the safety information to alert to
particular hazards:

This combination of symbol and signal word indi-
cates an imminently hazardous situation, which, if
not avoided, will result in death or severe injury.
WARNING!
This combination of symbol and signal word indi-
cates a potentially hazardous situation, which, if
not avoided, may result in death or severe injury.
CAUTION!
This combination of symbol and signal word indi-
cates a potentially hazardous situation, which, if
not avoided, may result in minor or slight injury.
NOTICE!
This combination of symbol and signal word indi-
cates a potentially hazardous situation, which, if
not avoided, may result in property damage.
ENVIRONMENT!
This combination of symbol and signal word indi-
cates potential hazards for the environment.
