FWD° +/-: Sets the angular value in forward rotation, between 10° and 360°, in 5° increments.

4- REV° +/-: Sets the angular value in reverse rotation, between 10° and 360°, in 5° increments.
Always verify the values before use. Improper use may result in injuries.
VI - USING THE DEVICE
Before turning the unit on, verify that ALL COMPONENTS have been properly installed.
Important:
- Do not disconnect the endodontic motor cord while the device is on and the pedal is depressed.
- Do not engage or release the tool on the contra-angle while the endodontic motor is running.
- All accessories must be cleaned and disinfected prior to use.
- For your safety and that of your patient, the Genius
those supplied by the manufacturer.
- Before and after each use, check the integrity of the device and its accessories and look for any problems.
- If necessary, do not use the device, and replace any defective element.
The Genius endodontic motor should be used as follows:

- Ensure that the device is properly connected and isolated.
Connecting the endodontic motor:
• Connect motor to base in front of unit (Right - metal). (Fig. 12)
• Connect contra-angle to motor, and mount an instrument (file) on contra-angle.
Mount appropriate E-Type – ISO 3964" contra-angle onto motor. It can be used with most available endodontic contra-angles,
without internal lighting.
Use only contra-angles that comply with ISO 3964 standard.
Replace contra-angle only while the motor is not running.
Place endodontic motor on its support.
Connecting the pedal:
• Connect the pedal to the base on the front of the unit (Left – White).
• Put pedal on the floor.
When inserting the plug, align the guide vertically on the connector to insert it into the matching female guide
for the Genius
®
from cords and cables.
Powering the device:
Electrical connection
Check the voltage supplied by the public grid (approved voltage: 100-240 VAC).
Connect the power cord to the Genius
the back of the device.
Connect the power cord to an outlet.
VII - STOPPING THE DEVICE
At the end of the dental procedure:
- Power device off (O).
- Remove instrument attached to contra-angle.
- Disconnect contra-angle from Genius
- Disconnect endodontic motor cord from Genius
