Operation:
The medical device should not be operated at altitudes above 2,000 meters. The medical device is not restricted to a number
of uses.
Interactions:
- The device complies with applicable electromagnetic compatibility standards. Operators will make sure that
electromagnetic interference do not cause an additional risk (presence of radiofrequency emissions, electronic devices,
etc.).
- Interference may occur when used on patients wearing pacemakers. This system emits electromagnetic fields, which
present potential risks. Implantable devices, such as pacemakers and ICDs (implantable cardioverter defibrillators), may
malfunction:
- Before using this product, ask patients and operators whether they are wearing an implanted device. Explain the reason
for your question.
Determine the risk/benefit ratio and contact your patient's cardiologist or relevant specialist before proceeding
-
with treatment.
- Keep this product away from implanted devices.
- Take necessary emergency measures and immediate action if the patient becomes ill.
- Any symptom, such as an increased heart rate, irregular pulse, and dizziness, may be a sign of incompatibility with a
pacemaker or ICD.
Electrical connection:
- Have all of the connections between your device and the power grid made by a certified dental installation technician.
- The power grid to which the device connects must comply with the standards applicable in your country.
Use of the device:
- Do not operate the device if it appears damaged or defective.
- Turn the unit off before disconnecting the power cord.
- To disconnect the power cord, grasp the plug and hold the wall outlet.
- In case of prolonged non-use, unplug the device from the power supply grid.
- Do not move the device during operation.
Do not insert any object inside the endodontic motor.
The motor is delivered non sterile.
Use only the supplied power adapter (Chapter III).
Use only for the intended use. Failure to comply with operating instructions may result in serious injury to
the patient or operator. Before operating this device, verify that you have read and understood the operating
instructions.
Do not install near an explosive risk. Systems are not designed to operate in the presence of anesthetic gases or any
other flammable gas.
Connect the power cord to an appropriate outlet.
Never touch rotating files.
Environment:
- Do not cover the device.
- Do not submerge or use the device outdoors.
- Do not tilt the device at more than 5° angle.
- Do not place the unit near a heat source.
- Ensure that cords do not impact people free roaming.
- The device should be stored in original packaging, in an appropriate place, without endangering anyone.
- The device is not designed to operate around anesthetic gases or any other flammable gas.
- Do not expose the device to mist or water spray.
- The device is not designed to operate near ionizing radiation.
- Do not insert metal objects into the device to prevent any risk of electrical shock, short circuit, or releasing hazardous
substances).
Maintenance:
- Before and after each use, it is imperative to disinfect your device using products recommended by the manufacturer.
- Before each use, it is imperative to clean and disinfect accessories (Chap. VIII).
Accessories:
- The device works only with accessories designed by the manufacturer and used as intended.
- Use of other accessories may present a risk to you or your patients.
Repair:
- Do not perform repairs or make changes to the device without prior consent from the manufacturer.
- In the event of an abnormality, contact your device's manufacturer. Do not call any other repair service who may cause
your device to become dangerous to you and your patients.
The Genius pre-set modes are programmed for Genius
®
to work with these settings.
When using instrumentation such as drills, burs or other endodontic instruments, follow manufacturer's instructions with regard
to maximum speeds, torque, angles, or forward and reverse directions.
