III - DESCRIPTION

3.1 PHISICAL DESCRIPTION

3.2 TECHNICAL DESCRIPTION

a. LCD screen/control pad
The Genius endodontic motor is controlled by applying moderate pressure to the keypad.
®
1- The "MODE" button allows the operator to switch easily between forward-reverse movement and rotary movement.
The screen display varies accordingly. (Fig. 2 – 1)
2- + and - buttons are used to scroll through the programs (from 1 to 10). (Fig. 2 – 2)
3- Calib. automatically calibrates the contra-angle and endodontic motor. (Fig. 2 – 3)
4- Ratio sets contra-angle's reduction ratio. (1:1 - 6:1 – 8:1 - 16:1 - 20: 1- 32:1). (Fig. 2 – 4)
5- RPM followed by +/- buttons: Sets the motor rotation speed (in revolutions/minute). (Fig. 2 – 5), (Fig 2-2)
6- Ncm followed by +/- buttons: Sets motor torque (in Ncm). (Fig. 2 – 6), (Fig. 2 - 2)
7- FWD/REV: Sets clockwise or counterclockwise rotation. (Fig. 2 – 7)
8- AR MODE: Sets the back rotation type: Stop STP, Auto Reverse AR, or Special Auto Reverse SAR. (Fig. 2 – 8)
9- FWD° followed by +/- buttons: selects of a forward rotation angle, between 10 and 360°. (Fig. 2 – 9), (Fig. 2 - 2)
10- REV° followed by +/- buttons: selects of a reverse rotation angle, between 10 and 360°. (Fig. 2 – 10), (Fig. 2 - 2)
11- Control pedal connector. (Fig. 2 – 11)
12- Endodontic motor connector. (Fig. 2 – 12)
Relevant information for the operator are displayed on the LCD screen.
