PRE-OPERATION CHECKS
Item Routine
Brakes Check operation/adjustment/brake fluid/brake pads
Clutch Check operation/lever adjustment
Autolube tank Check oil level/top-up as required
Transmission Check oil level/top-up as required
Drive chain
Check alignment/adjustment/lubrication
Throttle Check for proper throttle and Autolube cable Operation
Air filter
Foam type—must be clean and damp w i t h dil always
Wheels and tires Check pressure/wear
Fittings/fasteners Check a l l — tighten as necessary
Lights/signals Check headlight/tail-brake lights
Battery Check fluid level, top-up w i t h distilled water if necessary.
N O T E :
Pre-operation checks should be made each t i m e the machine is used. Such an inspection can
be t h o r o u g h l y accomplished in a very short t i m e ; and the added safety it assures is more than
w o r t h the t i m e involved.
