5. A f t e r adjusting, be sure t o tighten the
locknuts, rear wheel axle n u t , sprocket
shaft nut and tension bar locknut.
6. Insert a new cotter pin into the rear
wheel axle n u t and bend the end o f the
cotter pin as shown in the Illustration (if
the n u t notch and the cotter pin hole do
n o t match, loosen the nut slightly t o
match).
N O T E :
Excessive chain tension w i l l overload the en-
gine and other vital parts; keep the tension
w i t h i n the specified limits. A l s o , replace the
rear axle cotter pin w i t h a new one.
