N O T E :
Normal tap water contains minerals which
are harmful t o a b a t t e r y ; therefore, refill
o n l y w i t h distilled water.
2. When the motorcycle is n o t t o be used
for a m o n t h or longer, remove the bat-
tery and störe it in a cool, dark place.
Completely recharge the battery before
reusing.
3. If the battery is t o be stored f o r a longer
period than the above, check the specific
gravity o f the f l u i d at least once a m o n t h
and recharge the battery when it is t o o
low.
4. Always make sure the connections are
correct when p u t t i n g the battery back in
the motorcycle. The red lead is f o r the
+ terminal and the black lead is for the
— terminal. Make sure the breather pipe
