Cleaning the air cleaner element
The air cleaner element filters d i r t f r o m the
air entering the carburetor, keeping engine
wear t o an absolute m i n i m u m . This model
uses a paper type element which provides very
effective filtering action.
1. L i f t the seat and remove the b o l t holding
the tank.
2. T u r n the fuel petcock lever t o " O F F "
position and disconnect the fuel pipes.
3. L i f t the fuel tank, and remove the bolts
holding the cleaner case cover. Pull o u t
the element.
