Steering lock
T o lock the steering, t u r n the handle bars
f u l l y t o the right, insert the key i n t o the steer-
ing lock and t u r n the key about 1/8 counter-
clockwise; then push the key in and t u r n it
about 1/8 clockwise. A f t e r checking if the
lock is engaged, remove the key f r o m the
lock. T o release the lock, reverse the above
Steps.
Starter lever (CHOKE)
When cold the engine requires a richer fuel
m i x t u r e f o r starting. A separate starter cir-
c u i t , which is controlled by the starter circuit,
which is controlled by the starter, supplies
this m i x t u r e .
Push the lever d o w n t o open the circuit (for
starting) and pull it up t o close the circuit.
